Old Mission San Juan Bautista.

March 31, 2013 bee. 0 Comments

It's Easter Sunday... after Church my family decided to have brunch in the sleepy town of San Juan Bautista. Sure enough, we ended up visiting their mission. A "mission" is an old church... very historic stuff for sure. It was a little nice walk we had after eating so much, haha.

Oh yeah, here's a mini vlog I quickly put together from today!

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend!
Kudos to my lil sis, gabby, for taking the last three pictures! :3

March 2013 Favorites.

March 30, 2013 bee. 0 Comments

I skipped last month due to all the hauls and experimenting... but this month, I definitely have my stand-out makeup stuff!

1. E.L.F. Essential Flawless Eyeshadows in Golden Goddess.
Great for everyday, on-the-go, and I love the color combo. Liked it so much, I got almost all the colors! Reviewing this soon!

2. E.L.F. Essential Blush in Coy.
Preferring this mauvey-pink color blush lately.

3. Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara in Black Drama.
I feel like this mascara definitely thickens my lashes plus holds a curl decently.

4. Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner By Eyestudio in Black Spark.
Very pigmented and creamy! Review on this soon.

5. M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder Foundation in C4.
Great coverage and perfect match to my skin color.

6. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.
Did a great job allowing eyeshadow colors to show up on the lid. This held of highest importance during our Puck'd shows since we needed a lot of bright colors for our "raver look".

7. Rimmel BB Cream in Medium.
Great for everyday, I'm surprised and happy with this. Watch out for a better review soon.

8. Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation (Combination/Oily Skin) in 340 Early Tan.
Okay, I've said that this was too thick to use in my first review and probably only wearable in tropical countries on my updated review. I learned to use only half of the usual amount and use with a stippling or flat top brush for it to work for me. Great coverage and lasted me during the KPop M.V.P. dance workshop and my Puck'd shows. Definitely changed my mind on this!

9. C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve in No. 12.
A repeater! Does more than moisturize the lips! Found myself using this a lot this month!

-----
For some reason, this month went by faster than I thought it would! A lot has happened... and you can say I'm adjusting to my life here for real. I lived in the Philippines for four years (with a lot of vacations here) so I felt hung over and homesick for a really long time. Now, I feel content where I am at... this is my real home to begin with, anyways.

Happy Easter Weekend!

Re-Coloured.

March 29, 2013 bee. 3 Comments

Pictures taken under cast lighting and on a windy day at my backyard! :D
My hair is quite orangey now. The roots were getting out of control, so I dyed them a couple of days before our Puck'd shows. I used Da Vinci in Light Copper Blonde (as usual) but let it stay up to 6 hours this time. The results were bright orange roots, making my whole hair look ombre'. I decided to re-color the rest of my hair the night before the first Puck'd show to even it out. I'm pretty content with it at the moment. Last time my hair was this orange was when I used HBC's products back in 2007.

Check out my hair history post here:

Here's my last post on dyeing my hair here:

Hey guys!
So yeah, here is my follow-up post on my Puck'd experience! Asides from showing with you all my total look, outfit, and dance (yep, even that!)... THE LOOK + OUTFIT.
Shirt - Hand Painted by my sister & I during rehearsals. Skirt - Forever21. Stocking - Hot Topic. Shoes (not shown) - High Tops by Ecko Red.

Final look of my cuzzo, Carmella!
I did most of her makeup, most especially her eyes!

Gabby, my lil sis, and Carmella!

Wacky smile with my "Raver Makeup".

Supposedly, ravers wear really colorful (and skimpy) outfits but we were limited to wearing black all-over with our crazy shirt prints to compensate for it. That didn't really work out so me and my fairy ladies tried to fulfill the colorfulness with our makeup! And instead of just wearing leggings or black pants, I went with an edgier look... gothic-ish... just to have fun with what we can work with.

THE DANCE.
Oh yeah, here's my final choreography at our last show nite!

This is the best video we have so far!
The first half of the dance was only supposed to be 8 seconds long until I presented my ideas on how to make the fairy ravers do more dancing like we should. As for the second part, YES... we are rapping SHAKESPEARE! HAHA.

I haven't been a musical/play in a long time... so, as I've said... this was very fun! Plus, I had a reason to whip out my choreographing skills. And most especially, I finally choreographed to my favorite song!

PUCK'D: A Mid Summer Night's Dream Remixed!

March 19, 2013 bee. 2 Comments

instagram: @beekyoote.
Hey Guys!
Sorry if I've been away for awhile... I've been busy with school lately! Yup, my picture above is actually school-related! What thou see is our interpretation of what a fairy is in our modern day "A Mid Summer Night's Dream". I'm actually a dark raver fairy, hahaha. Let me share some pictures with you all!

Instead of the usual long spam of pictures I usually do, I went with putting most of them in a collage for you all. TEEHEE. These are a mix of running lines before rehearsals, during rehearsals, before the shows, and after the shows!

Basically, the students from last semester took Shakespeare's words and made it their own... so yeah, it wasn't a PG-13 show. There was a lot of slang, cussing, and even Spanish since this is California, haha.

I only attended school this semester, so I didn't get a big role or anything like that but because they've seen my dancing skills from Beginning Acting class (which I did for the mandatory talent show), I was recommended to choreograph our fairy raver dance. They were expecting an 8-second dance from me which I made to a full minute's worth of my crazy dancing. I even got my younger sister and cousin to join me in this project!

Here's one of my favorite scenes! I shot this when at our last tech night... MEHEHE :3

The lion is my cuzzo, who doubles as a fairy and a larper in the play.
I hope you found this funny! ^_^

I can definitely say that, I've had so much fun being a part of this production. I got to choreograph, dance, act, direct a little bit, sing, and do really funky makeup! And also, meeting cool new people was a plus! I'm so happy to have returned to college while waiting for my papers to process! I'm really getting in touch with my creative side, once again!

I will be sharing with you all my fairy dance soon along with the makeup I used for the play!
Watch out for that!
Thanks for reading!

My 3rd Blogging Anniversary History + Giveaway [CLOSED]

March 10, 2013 bee. 14 Comments

Hey Guys!
You read it right! It's actually been a little over three years since I started blogging in general and this is going to be a giveaway for all my lovely followers in the Philippines!

But before that, let me take you back to three years ago!

This is my original blog. This came to life on January 2010. I think I was on my junior year in university and on my way to getting my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing! I was from the U.S. but went back to the Philippines in order to get my degree quickly. Yup, I was by myself for the last two years in college. I think I was very stressed and found comfort in participating in online forums. I went from boyish to makeup addict with all the posts about makeup! Looking back, all I pretty much did were hauls, haha!

Now for this blog... One day I surveyed my old blog and decided to leave it in order to make a better one (the kind that didn't only blog about my impulsiveness!). I've also thought that I wasn't happy about my blog name, url & etc. I then started this one! I started off being "the beauty aijin" to becoming simply "bee" with her "kyoote blog". I've used the word kyoote, pronounced as CUTE,  because I used this word so much during HS to the point that my friends think about me when they hear/see that specific word! I obviously didn't start out that great, but with the help of my sisters I think that my blog's decency increased significantly! LOL.

No, I'm not the best beauty blogger out there but I just love doing what I do! I love meeting people through this virtual world and learning a lot from them! So today, I'm giving back!

Here's the prizes of my simple giveaway!
I picked the prizes above due to it's popularity and I hope to share them with you all!
They will be sent to the Philippines and when the winners are selected will be sent by my friend!
I promise you all that this came from my moolah! For real! :)

I will be giving away not only 1 set of these goodies but two sets! YAY! Now, this giveaway is only for Philippine Residents because they will be on their way to the Philippines tonight! I apologize to my other readers... maybe in the future! :)
