HCDC: Panther Day Mob Dance

February 27, 2014 bee. 0 Comments

A little glimpse of college life with fun added in... LOL

So we are a little but past the start of the new semester at the moment here in Sunny California (it's been raining a bit lately though) and it's time for the Hartnell College Dance Club to make a comeback. I am, of course, the president and that's why I'm so fired up! Well, the only way to keep a organization going in the sleepy little college in an even more sleepier little town is to be the strong foundation. And so, to treasure these precious moments that will eventually slip through my hand, I decided to take out the camera and vlog a little bit on our college event, "Panther Day". It's basically an "org day" (as I remember in the Philippines) wherein you lure people in to your club and so fundraising, as well. We unfortunately didn't get informed sooner, so we skipped fundraising and went on to purely advertise with free candy!

Being ze' Dance Club of ze' school, we performed some of the pieces from last semester on the second day.

We made this into a mini mob dance with some of the members who were available at that time with little practice prior to it... and yes, the people around & behind us were unaware of our motives! Yep, we surprised people and it worked out because we had members push away & clear some space of our Student Center and got really big speakers to "make a scene".

It's the first performance of the year and we're currently working hard for our main project.

Watch out for more :3

How to Open Contact Lens Vials (with Pictures)!

February 24, 2014 bee. 0 Comments

Like I've said at my last post, I haven't hauled any lenses for the longest time. And yes, that also means that I haven't opened those drug-like looking bottles in awhile, too! I decided to take pictures of my first contacts up for review (which will be up soon). This is dedicated to all you newbies to contacts and I hope you enjoy!

There's usually a marking as to where to will put your fingers to pull up the cap. In this case, its that little triangle shape.

Store Review: MAPLELENS.COM

February 23, 2014 bee. 0 Comments

Okay, I admit... I've been using my old lenses for the longest time!
Not only were they old, but I have been starting to lose or damage them one by one. Sad, but it's time for a fresh new start! I scoured the web for well-known & reliable circle lens stores for weeks and finally decided to place a huge order (for me at least) on MAPLELENS. Actually, a couple of blogs I follow had experience dealing with the site and the fact that their had a slightly better prices than others. Ha! I'm still a student and I don't have that much funds. I used my paycheck from videography job last semester for this haul and so I hoped to it won't go to waste.

Here's my intial thoughts on the store as I unbox my haul!
Read on for my review on this store!

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu @ San Francisco!

February 18, 2014 bee. 1 Comments

Three days ago, Superstar/Super Model/Super Kawaii Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, came to San Francisco the second time around for her 2nd world tour!

Who is Kyary? She's a Japanese fashion icon who's music is sweeping the world. Cutesy yet grim, that's Kyary! She's known for her eclectic style and makes you want to go "what did I just see?!" but her charm and visual will surely keep you locked in! I first saw her during the JPOP SUMMIT last summer, when my sister entered the Japanese cover contest and won 2nd place. Anyways, the same sister of mine was responsible for finding out about her return to SF and made sure we went, thankfully! This concert was awesome! The place was packed with cosplayers, Jpop fans, otakus, and even kids with their parents. After watching her live the second time around, I'm glad I went! She is a must-see and worth it!

Here's my mini vlog with some short clips of Kyary's performance!

An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein + Makeup Look.

February 07, 2014 bee. 2 Comments

Here's a flashback to last December... my second choreography job for theater!

If you've seen my post on "Puck'd: A Mid Summer Night's Dream Remixed", you'll know that it started from Beginning Acting class where I've show my talent for dance and was recommended to choreograph for the fairies. And last semester I have officially founded the Hartnell College Dance Club with most of the fairy ladies. This new org in the campus gathered dance enthusiasts and people who simply want to learn how to dance all in one place! With some of our members, the club has been assigned to do the dance portion of the new theater production, "An Adult Evening of She Silverstein". When you say "adult" it really means "not for kids". Silverstein's humor is very entertaining for the "sexy-minded" people. And with that theme in mind, I was free to go as "sexy as possible" choreography-wise (insert evil laugh here)! Anyways, time for pictures!

My babies working it out at practice!

Cellphone pix backstage!

And the rest of our official pictures.

Unfortunately, video-taking was prohibited during the shows. On the brighter side, we actually performed the dances during our club's talent show which was held a week later!

I just realized that this video contains the "Officer Dance Intro" which was the original Fairy Ladies' dance for Puck'd & the mix of dances for the Shel Silverstein production. What a combo!

I originally planned on not dancing in the show despite me being the choreographer. But due to schedule changes, I was able to perform once again for theater as a dancer.

I've also actually got a lot of compliments with my self-done makeup!
Here's a closer look.

Christmas Beauty Haul (2013 Edition)

February 02, 2014 bee. 2 Comments

Late on the posts again!
But I thought I'd share the beauty items I received just last Christmas on my beauty blog!

Bath and Body Works Forever Red Fragrance Mist | Coach Poppy | Sephora Outrageous Set | Benefit Cosmetics Gettin' Cheeky

Well, if you didn't know already... I love scents! My best friend and I would buy ourselves perfume and gift each other perfume back in our nursing school days. I don't purchase them as much now, but I do love receiving them! Loving the vanilla scent from the Bath and Body Works Forever Red Fragrance Mist. And as for the Coach Poppy, which I am especially happy to receive, I haven't opened it yet! TEEHEE. As soon I start working, watch me grow a beautiful collection of designer scents because I will! By the way, I'd like to thank my mum for these babies!

On the right, you can see products I receive that I normally don't use (in exception for the highlighter). I actually bought myself the Gettin' Cheeky set for myself way back, and will probably give this away. But I am looking forward to the mascara and eye makeup remover combo from Sephora. Shoutout to my older sister for gifting me these, too!

I've also received money, a pretty duffel bag, a Starbucks gift card, and this...

A digital portrait of myself by my younger sister.
COOL HUH?!

Thanks for reading!
