The hip-hop duo and hyungs of Big Bang are back with an awesome single! And I think it may have been about 10 years since I they were in the scene? Well, they stopped making music for sure when Big Bang debuted, that's for sure (or so I think). Anyways, these guys (along with 1TYM & Se7en) were one of the moneymakers of YG Entertainment back in the day. Think old school rap, these guys were top notch. Anyways, their new song is really fun! It incorporates the new and old. It's definitely relevant to today with the old school feel. I just feel happy listening to it!
Watch it here:
Read on to see what else I think about their song! ^^
So this may be a real Kpop Monday post that I haven't posted up in awhile! Sorry! But, honestly, nothing really intrigued me. It's almost like K-Pop has been dying over the years... But fear not! I can happily say that it has been reviving itself. I watched two of it literally before setting up this post and I seriously typing this up 3 hours before Monday ends here in this side of the world (California to be exact)! Check out my thumbs up for some K-Pop goodness!
Okay! So last Wednesday, the 17th of April, my 'Fairy Ladies' performed with me for the Performing Arts Club of our college! If you've seen my last Kpop Monday post on Psy's Gentleman... we've decided before hand to include it at the end of my dance act!
Watch for your enjoyment please!
By the way, we changed it a tad bit! :P
If you're wondering why we're called the 'Fairy Ladies' it's because we're the same girls from Puck'd: A Midsummer Night's Dream Remixed musical play I acted as 1/5 of Titania, half of Mustardseed, and as the fairy dance choreographer (and did some directing for the actual acting parts). We've all become so close as friends even after the play! And with their new found enthusiasm to dance (they had no experience in dancing prior to Puck'd) and my love for dance, we've decided to perform in the talent show. Hopefully we will do more in the future! People have been telling me constantly to create a dance club in school, since we have none! I'll think about it! HAHA.
Psy is finally back to conquer the world with his latest single, Gentleman!
Have you heard/seen it yet???
If you can't tell already... his music video is crazzzyyy and will definitely make you laugh!
I've read somewhere that Psy and YG Entertainment had to change his comeback song at least 20 times before they selected this one! I can imagine the pressure they've had before releasing this! Psy's Gangnam Style was never meant to be a worldwide sensation but it happened! I bet they didn't want all of that to go to waste with a follow-up flop, duh! Anyways, I love love love the song! It's so catchy!
Last time in Gangnam Style, Hyuna (former Wonder Girl) of 4Minute,
was the leading lady.
And now we have Ga In of Brown Eyed Girls!
Why her???
Ga In of Brown Eyed Girls. Abracadabra (2009)
Not only is she fierce and wayyyy sexy! But the dance itself came out during 2009 for B.E.G.'s Abracadabra! It was only right for them to have her on Psy's video! Besides, it's great having the awesome dance move come out again...but this time to the whole world! Yup, I've been in love with their song, dance, and look since forever! It was such a surprise they had Ga In collaborate with Psy!
From Abracadabra (2009) to Gentleman (2013)!
I just love this! I will be covering this dance very soon! Bwahaha XD
Leehi continues promotions with her song Rose!
If you haven't seen the video yet, you can already tell that they've really put an effort on this video! The theme embodies Spring beauty but dramatized in contrast with the thorns and the war. YG maknae's "expressionlessness" was put to good use for the mv. But she definitely seems to be more comfortable than she first started out!
Take a look at the eyeshadow and the lippie!
Actually, everything about is Spring! LOL.
And I can't get over her pretty contact lenses and outfits, too!
Watch her MV here!
This such a relaxing song.. a little sad but I love how they contrasted it with the bright theme.
Yesterday, I've attended an KPop Music Video Party over at the Infinity Dance Studio in San Jose!
Infinity Dance Studio, San Jose, CA.
The venue.
With my sister and cousins.
We arrived about 10 mins before 2pm, thinking we were late, but we were one of the very few early ones.
Aimee Lee Lucas. KPOP MVP @ the Infinity Dance Studio, San Jose, CA.
Getting settled in before starting the class.
Let me introduce to you Aimee Lee Lucas. The Vixen of KPop.
She worked as a choreographer and performer with the likes of Big Bang and 2NE1.
Was first seen in the KPop scene in Big Bang's Number One MV and has been my dance idol ever since.
It was a pretty big class... so much more than I expected!
We stayed in front for the first half of the class in order to learn as much as possible.
The class was two hours long to learn a minute of the dance of G-Dragon's Breathe.
Aimee, not only beautiful & hella sexy, is truly such an amazing dancer and teacher!
She made it extremely fun to learn!
The class formally ended with a "soul train".
Just be clear, KPop M.V.P. is Aimee's company that teaches Kpop dance classes. Kpop is spreading far and wide...with the competition getting higher and higher in South Korea, they come up with many fun & amazing dance choreography! And I don't think there is no other person perfect for this job, bringing these KPop moves to America, than Aimee! Not only is she very immersed in the Kpop scene, know that she is extremely passionate about it!

It was definitely awesome seeing her again (I first met her, luckily at the Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour Concert in LA) and this time to actually learn from her! The class was definitely fun! There were so many awesome dancers in the class, as well... all so inspiring to make me work hard in dance. I haven't been dancing at all lately but they sure make me want to keep dancing!
By the way, did you know this two-hour class was only $15??! Crazzzy right?! Great class, loads of fun, and a price you can't beat! If KPop M.V.P. is coming to your place...whether you're a dancer or simply just a KPop lover, do not hesitate! This is definitely worth it!
Here's Aimee dancing the choreography for the class!
And in addition to everything else, I was totally starstruck all over
again and probably acted like some crazed fan girl...GAHH! HAHAHA. And
oh yeah, I took a lot of videos while the class was going on because I
wanted to make sure this epic day will not be forgotten... I put together a little vlog! Hope you enjoy watching! :D
She is a former artist under YG Entertainment, the same company that holds 2NE1 & Big Bang.
And she also auditioned for Mnet's Voice of Korea show but didn't make the next round.
Watch her performance from 19:40 and you would agree with me when I say they made a
HUGE MISTAKE.
Kim Ji Eun was freaking awesome!
I actually heard about her way before I became a super fan of Big Bang when they have just debuted.
She worked with Taebin of 1TYM and Lexy (also YG Artists) and fell in love with her voice.
Her voice is amazing!!!
She always did these features with other main singers as a YG trainee and it took awhile before they finally launched her as YG's New Face when Lexy came out with her third album "Rush" in 2007.
Kim Ji Eun's Rain.
They did push through in releasing her solo album but after that it seemed that they seemed to just leave it that. Then came 2010 and she was came out in a group called "Lady Collection"
Lady Collection.
But they seem to have disappeared as soon as they debuted...
It hurts to see how such an amazing talent like hers is going to waste.
YG doesn't know how to take care of his female artists and it makes me wonder how 2NE1 will end.
So for all those ignorant people saying a bunch of BS about how CL is better than her just because they have the same haircut now or whatever... She trained 2NE1 before they debuted!
Ugggggh!
Anyways, I hope something good comes to her since she got all this attention lately!
