     It's the day after Halloween 2015 and I still love this song, Halloween Night by AKB48! If you haven't seen it yet, I've actually gone and uploaded two different versions of the songs already (Club Lollipop and my solo). But this is the project that I've been looking forward to! We've gotten costumes for it and everything. And this was actually filmed more than a month ago, but due to external factors, Gabby (my sister who did the song cover) couldn't record asap and we only filmed her singing part right after our school's Monster Ball the other day!

     Hello everyone! So my latest original choreography is now up on my sister's youtube page! Woot! Woot! This was actually a project for her scholarship class with the dance club! Yes, currently president now. I stepped down the position, but remained as the overall director & choreographer still. We made it into last semester's main project for the club.  The concept should be in line with my sister's chosen theme "The Cabaret". But since we had only two girls at the moment, I kept the dance more on hip-hop with a huge splash of sexy. And despite not filming it in our originally selected location, the parking garage worked well. It was a little bright for a dark & sexy "cabaret-themed" dance (notice my sexy chair dance??), but we made use of what we had. 

Looking back... we filmed this about 16 weeks ago, right before my vacation to the Philippines!

      Wow. It's officially the first of August and this post is almost a month late. Well, it's only been a month and that's not too bad considering I take more time in the usual, haha! This has been my 3rd year attending the biggest anime convention in the US and it was been different from the first two times. I worked as a reporter for VKH-Press and it definitely was a unique experience. I already have bought a pass the year before, but because of work, I was provided with a Press Pass which pretty much gave me VIP access. I wish we brought one more person, it was a waste of a badge money, lol. This post is a mixture of my instagram pix and dslr pics, so pardon the quality. And yes, ANDREA is my real name... just saying. Read on to see how it went for me.

     I'm already back in the US but I'm still suffering from really bad jetlag (sleep at 6AM & wake up at 3PM). Anyways, here's the dance performance my cuzzos and I did for my grandma's birthday. That event was the main reason why I returned to the Philippines, by the way. 

     I know I haven't been posting up so much because I'm currently on vacation in the Philippines... my exact whereabouts at the moment? The same place you see this video! We literally filmed this video hours and just uploaded it to youtube! We are currently at The Oriental Legazpi. We specifically booked this place because of it's glorious view of the majestic Mayon Volcano, our hometown Legazpi, and what should have been the hotel's infinity pool. Unfortunately there were a bit of people using the pool and lacked space at that area, so we settled for the area in the video. You can kinda still see the pool, but thankfully Mayon was there to be the star of the show! We are checking out in a few hours, so I intend to make this post quick....so I can enjoy the rest of the day. I will post up my review about this staycation soon. The pocket wifi I purchased was terrible and I am thankful that The Oriental's wifi made it so easy to upload this! 

Initially, we picked this piece to cover because it is a very nice song by AKB48 along with the choreography that makes us motivated and feel strong. Another big reason is that the center of the song, Takahashi Minami aka Takamina, who is not only an original member and the General Manager of the group... is graduating this year! As sad and heartbroken we are to see one of our favorites leave the group, this is showing our support to her. I love you, Takamina!!!!

     Woah! It's been way too long since I posted up a new dance video, let alone a dance video I haven't made the steps to. Yup, it has been awhile since I learned something new from someone else and I must say I felt slightly rusty. Reasons for picking this song/dance? Itano Tomomi. Her 1% Dance Trial opened up my eyes to J-POP Dance and it just so happens that opportunity for Japanese Pop Dance opened up soon after. But I became busy honing other people's talent (whether or not it existed), so I haven't made a solo dance cover or any solo dance since 2013. But as life would have it, people come and go in your life and. thankfully, with J-Pop Summit 2015 opening up the possibility of doing both solo and groups acts, it feels like a good time to do things how it started, solo. 

     I only sorta learned the choreo for two short nights before filming. But the video is just a mini dance cover of what I actually would like to perform, if chosen to appear on stage at J-Pop Summit Festival 2015.  So I do hope I get the chance to show everyone the whole thing! Crossing my fingers!

     Here's another of my original choreography I created for Lysistrata, the theater production the Hartnell Dance Club participated in last December 2014, which we made another MV for! This was the intro for the play. In the production, there was a fight scene and one more guy in the dance. I hope you all enjoy watching this sexy dance I made to Pink's "FINGERS".

     Soon after this, we are renewing our set list with new dances/performances for the many events coming up this year... yup! All new & exciting! I'm looking forward to it! Although the girls aren't complete, we have guest performers and some special surprises in store!
