Hey Guys!
So I've just shared with you all my Daiso Haul yesterday... Well, I've actually tried out this baby right after I published that post! Let me share with you all my experience using this for the first time!

What it does:
Formulated with the natural ingredients from Oak trees, it removes oils and all dirt and deeply clean the pore, leaving your skin clearer with less visible pores.

Daiso Japan Haul + Mini Review.

November 29, 2011 bee. 2 Comments

Daiso Japan: Charcoal Mask, Charcoal Nose Pack, Eyelash Curler Spare Gum, Partial Eyelash Curler, Double Eyelid Glue with Aloe.

Hey Guys!
Sooo... My family and I have been to The Great Mall over at Milpitas, CA over the weekend to chill and watch movies. Mind you, it was packed with people because the sales were crazy for Thanksgiving Weekend! We didn't plan to buy anything really until we passed by the Daiso Japan Store! I was like.. "OMG! This is new?!" because last time we've been there that store was non-existent!

Daiso is a store for Japanese products which mostly costs $1.50 (if converted to Philippine Peso, only 65PHP!!!) only! I was stoked to see this store because people rave about shopping in Daiso or popularly known as Saizen in the Philippines... So many cool and affordable finds even in the Beauty/Cosmetic sections! Unlike the ones I've read about in the Philippines, this Daiso Store was small and didn't have as much stuff nor stocks but I am generally pleased to have what I have hauled!

Daiso Japan: Charcoal Mask.
This charcoal mask receives a lot of raves in the forums! A must-buy for all beauty lovers! I'm so happy to find this in-store! They have the Charcoal Foam and other face wash but I thought I'd try this out first!

Daiso Japan: Charcoal Nose Pack.
Who can pass a nose pack??? I definitely think this is so much like the IWhite Korea nose pack which I use to purchase back in the Philippines... It is a cream form that you spread all-over your nose, wait for it to dry and then peel off in order to remove your whiteheads and blackhead. Tried it out yesterday! Smells better than the one from IWhite and I definitely think it cleared up my nose!

Daiso Japan: Double Eyelid Glue with Aloe.
Finally! I've found a Double Eyelid Glue! I tried this out yesterday, as well! It is a clear liquid which feels light and does the job! Not messy at all and feels natural on the lid! Thumbs up for this!

Daiso Japan: Partial Eyelash Curler.
I've read and heard many times that people may benefit with eyelash curlers like this in order to get lovely curls even in hard-hard-to-reach-areas like the inner corners. I have yet to try it out! This is similar to the one from Fanny Serrano in the Philippines only much cheaper!

Daiso Japan: Eyelash Curler Spare Gum.
I've looked for replacement eyelash curler pads everywhere because my Sally Hanssen Eyelash Curler always seems to lose its lash pad... Unfortunately, I haven't found a drugstore with such a thing until I found Daiso! I took one out and placed it on my E.L.F. eyelash curler and wow! It is awesome! Why? It fat enough for a snug fit (no worried losing it!) and very sturdy that it gave my eyelashes an instant lift! The E.L.F. is already awesome by itself but this just makes it better!

I've been told that there are eyebrow stencils in Saizen, but I didn't see any in this Daiso store. My little sister hauled a couple of lashes, as well. I wish there were more makeup stuff.... Ohh well. But yeah, great stuff, affordable price and that's my Daiso/Thanksgiving 2011 Haul! No discount though! :P

I'm thinking of making a comparison post on my eyelash curlers soon just because I noticed a difference between them...

Check out my sister, Gabby, in her new MV for T-ara's Cry Cry!

I helped out with her makeup! Yeah! :D

This is the Ballad Version in her own English lyrics!

KPop Mondays: T-ara's Cry Cry

November 28, 2011 bee. 1 Comments

T-ara.

Hey guys!
Let me introduce T-ara! They're a Korean girl group that debuted 2009... One of their famous hits were "Bo Peep Bo Peep".. Yes, sounds weird and very girly. This girl group is actually known to be one of the bottom contenders of the Korean girl group craze, not for their talent nor looks, but for their songs and concept. I mean seriously, what the heck is "Bo Peep"?!

T-ara's Cry Cry Promotional Video Poster.
Anyways, a few weeks back they've come out with their new album and a new concept which is kind of doing well in the market... It's a more serious and kick-ass concept for their song "Cry Cry"... heck! They've got a 15-minute drama version for their promotion video with pretty cool actors!

Drama Version of Cry Cry.

Ballad Version of Cry Cry.

Cry Cry is definitely very dramatic... a good song for all you brokenhearted people! LOL.
All in all, T-ara is more likeable to me now than before.

Well, my little sister got me into it and is the reason why I've been listening to their song...
She liked it enough that she's made two covers for their song!

Both are in English and lyrics were made by both my sisters!

The first one she made was a Disco Remix of Cry Cry.

The second one, is her version of the Ballad of Cry Cry.

I hope you all check out her video... I actually helped out with her eye makeup!!!

I hope you check out her youtube channel and give her some love... pretty please? LOL.

UPDATE: Thanksgiving

November 27, 2011 bee. 2 Comments

Hey Guys!
How was Thanksgiving for you all? Mine was a simple gathering with family and relatives... As you can see it was mostly sweets we had! Yes, there was turkey but I never really liked eating it because it always made me feel sleepy... Weird, I know. The pumpkin pies were outstanding! I deeply regret not consuming more! LOL.

I'm thankful for being very blessed in so many ways... One of it is that I've got quite a number of followers in my blog! Thank you for being all so kind and wonderful! I've been tweeting about maybe doing a giveaway because I am just so ecstatic to have you all!... But I'll tell you now, I sort of went back to school, which makes me a student again, and I'm unemployed (yes, I am sadly still dependent on my parents)... But as soon as I do pass the NCLEX (nursing licensure exam of the US) and get actual work, I'll definitely do one asap!

E.L.F. Studio Eye Primer and Liner Sealer.

November 25, 2011 bee. 4 Comments

E.L.F. Studio Eye Primer and Liner Sealer.
What it does:
The Prime side sets your eyeshadow in so your color won’t fade, bleed or crease. The Liner side transforms your favorite eye shadow into a waterproof, smudge-proof liquid liner with this unique clear liquid and built-in felt tip precision eyeliner brush. Now you can have your eye makeup lasting longer for no fuss no budge color.
Product description taken from here.
What I like:
  • Somewhat smooth concealer-like consistency and no real trouble applying the product on the eyelids.
  • Gives an eyeshadow a better pay-off (including those that are powdery).
  • Helps an eyeshadow and eyeliner last longer on the eyelids.
  • The packaging looks a little chic and is big (easy to find in my makeup bag).
  • Cheap! $3 only!
  • Available in most drugstores
  • In the Philippines, check out the beauty counters in SM Malls (even SM Naga) or Watsons.

What I don't like:
  • You need to spread out the product properly to avoid creasing.
  • Costs P250 (more or less) in the Philippines. The mark up is high.
  • The sealer end of the product.
E.L.F. Studio Eye Primer and Liner Sealer: Liner Sealer end.
This end of the product promises to create an eyeliner out of any eyeshadow and unfortunately, I am not a fan of it at all. The packaging is a screw-type and sadly, mine leaks! The sealer spilled a couple of times on itself and dried up into white marks which ruined the whole look! The product itself doesn't seem to work... I tried picking up some eyeshadow for a eyeliner and failed. The brush, as you can see, is white and difficult to clean (I tried after taking this picture, by the way).  And if not cleaned properly and used on different people, dipping that brush in back the container is very unhygienic.

E.L.F. Studio Eye Primer and Liner Sealer: Eye Primer end in Natural.
You all know that I do Taekwondo classes (evenings)... I basically do my makeup in the morning and keep it on even then. I know its bad, but I have my reasons... Ahem! LOL. I sweat a lot but I find myself assured that my eye makeup will stay on. I haven't tried rubbing my eyes with makeup on to check if it will stay on... but it pretty much is common sense not to do that especially if you're out and about, right?!

Overall, I like this product for the eye primer. This is essential for my everyday makeup routine because it does better than having to use no eye primer at all. I think the price is good for students and definitely good for simple everyday eye makeup.

Trip to the Public Library.

November 23, 2011 bee. 4 Comments

Books: Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty & The 5-Minute Face by Carmindy.

Hey guys!
My sisters and I went to the Public Library of our area yesterday... and look at what I scored! I was pretty much inspired by the wonderful, pretty and ever so popular Filipina youtuber & blogger Say to get my hands on any makeup-related books there are... I never thought of spending my time (or money) on such things... but hey! Lucky me! I get to read them and take them home for free! LOL.

The library also has the Face Forward book by Kevin Aucoin and it is really big! It seems to be pretty popular in Amazon.com so that would be next on my list!

I will be taking notes on the highlights of these books since I'll be returning them in three weeks... I'll most likely make a post on it, so watch out for that!

And if you've got any good makeup or even style-related reads, suggest away!

KPop Mondays: Wonder Girls' Yoo Bin.

November 21, 2011 bee. 7 Comments

Yoo Bin of Wonder Girls for Singles Magazine.
Wonder Girls' Badass Sexy Rapper, Yoo Bin, graced the pages for S. Korea's magazine called Singles... And wow! She is a stunner! Isn't she?!

They did this shoot in a hotel room...

As much as I idolize her... I'm not a fan of how they make women into sex symbols...
I mean... why does it always have to be in a hotel room or on a bed???
Ohh well.

I definitely love her blonde hair and her eye makeup!
Overall, this reminds me to stay disciplined and work hard in keeping in shape!
LOL.

November 2010 Shoot.

November 20, 2011 bee. 4 Comments

Natividad Park, Salinas, CA.

Hey guys! Happy Sunday!

I just thought I'd share my first ever photoshoots I've done for my sister! These are officially a year old! And I was far from totally comfortable posing for a camera back then.... Ohh well! Just thought I'd get this out before they get older then they already are! Teehee.

--------------------------------
The next day, we went off to San Francisco to take pictures!

Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, CA.
I was with my cousins, sister, and mom in these shots.

Both shoots were done during my last vacation in the US before I graduated...
Suddenly, I can't believe how much time has passed....

Anyways, hope you all had a good weekend!

Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke.

November 19, 2011 bee. 0 Comments

Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke.

What it does:
Waterproof Automatic Pencil offers a unique swivel-up color application that retracts and never needs sharpening. The soft, rounded point applies color smoothly and evenly, without pulling or tugging. Waterproof formula lasts long without smudging.

Product description taken from here.

Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke.

What I like:
  • Retractable! You're not wasting any product not time from sharpening it!
  • Definitely Waterproof! I don't take it off when I do Taekwondo class and it stays quite well.
  • Smooth enough for it to glide efficiently on my eyelids.
  • Yet stable enough for the product to keep itself from crumbling off during application.
  • Pigmented. You get the color in one swatch.
  • Comes in a variety of other colors.
  • If given time to set, it's difficult to rub off!
  • Only $5.25 (about less than P300 in the Philippines). A little cheaper than other drugstore brands!
What I don't like:
  • Almost always out of stock when I go to drugstores!
  • The brand is not available in all drugstores!
  • I'm not sure where this is available in the Philippines (Sorry!).

Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke.
Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke.
This eyeliner has been my favorite for how many days now! I honestly have been using this for how many days in a row now! It's quite easy to use, as well... Unlike my Wet n' Wild gel eyeliner, I don't need a brush and keep dipping in the pot for more product!

Swatches: Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke.
Smoke is in between black and light gray... The product looks black in the packaging but as I apply it I can't seem to get the blackness I expected. Well duh! It's smoke not black! The black color was actually out-of-stock (like most of their products) when I grabbed this and I think I was lucky enough to grab something retractable and waterproof which is close to black! Despite it not being as intense as I wish, Smoke is a great color for everyday use! The shade keeps me from being too fierce in the daytime. LOL.

Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke. Taken with Flash.
For more pictures check out my other posts using this eyeliner:

Pictures of me before Taekwondo Class:
Stretching it out! Haha.

Picture was taken with no Flash.
Despite it's lack of intensity at first glance, I think it still makes me looks fierce which I really like...
Yes, I leave the eyeliner on despite my tendency to get sweaty!

I should be a black belt by now... Oh well, studies first right???!
I'm aiming to become one before the end of next year! :P

My Face of the Other Day. LOL.

November 17, 2011 bee. 2 Comments

I tweeted this picture the other day...
I was all dolled up for my sister's photo class project!
A great excuse to practice my makeup skills, right?!

More Pictures:
I'm really loving my look! HAHA :D

Asides from using the face stuff I mentioned in my last post, I've used my NYX lippie in Eros for my lips along with my new favorite Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke for lining my eyes, and favorite eyebrow pencil from Nichido.

I will get to reviewing products soon, I promise!

Cover for Gazette's Cassis.

November 17, 2011 bee. 6 Comments

Gazette.
Hey Guys!
I'd like to share my younger sister's cover for Gazette's Cassis! If you read my second blog award post, you'd know I can't sing at all! All the talent went to her... Yeah, poor me! HAHA. But its okay! We can't have it all! Haha.

By the way, Gazette is a Japanese rock band (if you can't already tell! LOL) who are into "Visual Kei". The term literally means "Visual Style" in Japanese and is characterized by the use of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics. Yup, they look PRETTY don't they?! Gahhh! Makes me feel bad for being a girl! LOL.

Here's my little sister's video:
My older sister re-made Gazette's music video for her cover...
And I think she'll be doing a longer video with herself actually singing in it soon.
She's doing it for fun along with showing her fandom for them and practicing her talent!

I find their LOOK very intriguing...
I think I'll do my research on it more! HAHA.

Check out her other singing videos here:

New Face Routine

November 15, 2011 bee. 0 Comments

Bee's unedited pic!

Hello lovely people!

I think I finally found a face routine that I'm really loving! It feels natural and lighter than everything else I've tried... So yeah, here's what I used:
  • L'oreal Studio Secrets Professional's Magic Perfecting Base
  • The Face Shop's Professional Make-Up Base in Green
  • Amazing Cosmetics' Amazing Concealer in Tan Golden
  • MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC43

Bare lips! >.<
I know! The most important face stuff I have here are from the department store... But it's only because I have yet to find a concealer that will match my BB Creams! I'm thinking of getting one from the drugstore, any suggestions? I love this look a lot and have been using it everyday since I mixed up my face routine but I worry about running out on those stuff! Yes, repurchasing them bothers me (I'm low on funds! LOL).

I also think I've finally found a good eyeliner technique for my eyes (a monolid and a double eyelid)! I would spend hours trying to perfect the cat-eye look before that I would always be late for class, when I was in the Philippines! Haha! I can't believe I never thought of it before!

I will do a review on all the products mentioned on this post, so please wait for that!
And if you have any suggestions for a really good drugstore concealer, please comment away!

KPop Mondays: Wonder Girls Live!

November 14, 2011 bee. 4 Comments

So finally the Wonder Girls came out with their live performances of their songs Be My Baby and GNO (Girls' Night Out)!!!
YEAHHHH! I'm so stoked to see them back! I know I said I wasn't a big fan of Be My Baby, but its catching on.... haha!

Here's there performace in Inkigayo of Be My Baby!

They're having a dance cover contest for this song...
My sisters are pushing me to learn it!
HAHA.
I'll think about it! LOL.

If cutesy isn't your thing here's GNO!

The name is like  the GNO eyeliners from Nichido (Filipino brand of cosmetics)! Haha.

I think this is a nice song! And Ye Eun actually made it!
Over all, I'm loving their vocals a lot better than their "Tell Me", "So Hot", or "Nobody" days!
Seriously, I can now see Leader Sun Ye's talent in singing and she does it while dances!
She's so charismatic!
The rapping is pretty cool, as well! Not the typical JYP generic rap, at all!

And oh, their outfits are looking really nice!
Especially Yoo Bin's! Super cleavage! She is smokin'! LOL.
So Hee is looking great for the camera like always...
Lim may need to get used to performing like a real Wonder Girl but nonetheless, she is talented.

Basically, I think they're doing a good job...

Till next time!

Christian's Shoot.

November 10, 2011 bee. 13 Comments

Christian's Shoot at Lover's Point, Monterey Bay, Ca.
So if you've been reading my posts long enough you probably know that my sister has her thing in photography... Most of the time, my little sister and I tag along to help her out in her gigs. We help her out with lighting, ideas on posing, and even dragging the equipment everywhere! LOL. Well, let me share some behind-scenes-stuff of a shoot from a few months back!

 Meet Christian!
He's a high school senior like my cousin, Carmela.
And as a senior, it is mandatory to submit professional portrait shots for the yearbook!
Lower years only get to use their I.D. pictures, so its pretty special getting these shots done right!

Behind-the-Scenes!
This is me "styling" him!
And these were candid shots! I didn't know my cousin was shooting away at all!
And oh, doesn't he look adorable???! Teehee :P

Christian posing for my sister and her camera while my younger sister "illuminates" him. I had the "first shift" of "illuminating" Christian before my younger sister took the "second shift", by the way. LOL.

 And this is me, again!
I had the "second shift" of carrying ALL the luggages along with stepping stool we brought along.
Carmela, took a second to click her camera at me as I sat there watching them.

Anyways, here's one more shot of Christian!
Isn't he GQ material??? So freaking cute, right???! HAHA :D

Visit my sister's blog for more awesome pictures: http://roxxluzada.blogspot.com

By the way, I was using the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation on my face here. Great coverage and it matches my tan body but its very thick! I had to buff in it like crazy to get a natural feel from it! I haven't used it since then...
