What I like:
  • Pump bottle! Hygienic!
  • Has a twist-lock! Safeguards the contents of the bottle!
  • Packaging looks chic.
  • Brightening effect.
  • Looks great in pictures with flash. Porcelain-like face. No ghost-white mask look!
  • Controls oil very well (with two coats of the bb cream).
  • Visually reduces the size of pores a bit.
  • Gives my bumpy complexion a smooth look.
  • No need for color correcting prior to application. The bb cream cancels out redness really well.
  • Easy to blend. Not runny nor thick.
  • Doesn't feel heavy on the skin.
  • Doesn't oxidize (turn grayish) throughout the day! The color you end up with after blending it in will be your color for the rest of the day.
  • Did not break out from this bb cream.
  • No irritating or strong scent.
  • Packaging details are in English.

What I don't like:
  • Light to medium coverage only.
  • Not for people with dry skin! Dry skin patches will be made even more visible.
  • Only comes in one shade which does not suit morena or tan people.
  • No SPF.
  • Only 34g. Usually other bb creams are about 50g.
  • Costs $22.80 or about PHP1000. A bit expensive compared to other bb creams.
  • Only available from Luview's online store.

A little story...
In the Philippines, I've got oily skin but here in the US, it's mostly dry or combination type. I used this bb cream when I helped out running a donut shop owned by my mum's friend last week... The first day I helped out, I used my regular face routine stuff. A part of the job included rinsing many big pans in hot water so imagine my face being exposed to a lot of steam! At the end of the day, my sister told me how bad I looked, how it wasn't good for business (since I deal with the customers, too) and I should have re-touched earlier. My face turned out to be very oily with my makeup melting off! The next day, I used this bb cream with concealer and powder and at end of the day, I was told that I didn't look like a sticky mess like the day before! The bb cream withstood the steam I had to face all week long which kept my makeup intact with barely any touch-ups.

What I say:
This bb cream is great for people with oily skin in humid weather who doesn't have severe skin imperfections.

One layer of bb cream.

Two layers of bb cream.
I know! My face is so light compared to my neck! >.<
Even without the bb cream, my face is lighter than the rest of my body! O.o

Tips in using this bb cream:
  • To reduce dry skin patches, exfoiliate before use.
  • For morena or tan people who want to use this & any other bb cream, use a setting powder in the shade of your neck or darker in order to make this work for your skin tone.

I am thankful once again to Eloisa (KikaySiMaria) and Tara (BBCreamAddict) for holding a contest that gave me an opportunity to try out a bb cream from one of the S. Korea's newest beauty companies, Luview Cosmetics. Go here to see what else I got from those wonderful ladies!

Check out Luview's website: http://www.luview.com/shop/

I'll most likely make a post on how I use this bb cream soon...

Catch you all later!

  1. It's too bad that this has no spf! If I were to use a BB cream I really would look for one with SPF hehe. Just to eliminate that extra step you know!?

Luview has been doing a lot of campaigning in different countries.
I wish I joined the contest here in the US so I could have had a chance to bag more stuff!
I guess it's pretty okay if you don't want to look totally perfect but at least look decent to go out! haha XD
