Hey Guys!
So here's my review on Revlon's latest line of foundation! I'm usually not fond of liquid foundation because I fear the cakey look most gives me but when I saw this in store, I couldn't resist to try it... I thought that my skin desperately needs to be covered up due to the breakouts I've been having lately. Read on to see if I liked this one!
What it is:
Revlon’s breakthrough nearly naked makeup balances skin and makeup so they work in perfect harmony. With buildable coverage and seamless blending, you are sure to cover flaws and perfect your skin’s tone and texture. No heavy cakey or greasy mess.
Available in 16 true to tone shades. $10.

What I like:
- Feels lightweight on the skin.
- Does a decent job in perfecting my skin's tone and texture.
- Doesn't cake up at the first layer.
- Doesn't settle in my lines and pores.
- Easy to blend.
- Has a dewy finish to it.
- Stays on all day long. I set mine with a loose powder though.
- Currently the most natural looking liquid foundation I've tried here in the U.S.
- Has 16 shades to choose from.

What I don't like:
- Only medium coverage. I need a concealer with this to cover my eyebags & really dark blemishes.
- I sacrifice the "nearly naked look" if I want to build it up for better coverage.
- Very watery and takes awhile to dry up. Hence, the need for a setting powder.
- It oxidizes into a slightly darker shade.
- Becomes oily on my skin at the end of the day.
- Packaging needs a pump. The product is runny and may be a little hard to control.
- Costs $10. One of the expensive brands from the drugstore.
- Limited availability. It's very new and the only place I found this was Rite Aid here in the U.S.
Final Thoughts:
So far, this is the second liquid foundation I like for myself here in the U.S.! Usually, most foundations are usually too thick and cake up on me as soon as I apply it. . The Revlon Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation sits quite well on my combination skin and does give a natural "nearly naked look" to it. It does lack, however, in the coverage department and a bit on the oil control section. And the dewy look it gives may not be desirable to some, too. You must also watch out for this oxidizing on your skin, mine turns slightly darker which I actually don't mind because it matches my dark concealer. Comparing this to the Maybelline Superstay 24hr Makeup Foundation, this one is thinner, more natural yet lacks in coverage. And oh, thinking about those with oily skin types living in hot and humid countries, this may not work out for them.
I recommend this to those with dry or combination skin types, those who are experiencing cold climates and to who don't need a full coverage foundation.
All in all, to say that I can actually wear this everyday is a big deal because I usually stay away from liquid foundations most of the time. I'm a powder foundation lover. So yeah, I like this foundation.
On my face...
1- no makeup. 2- with the Revlon Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation freshly applied. 3- completed makeup look without concealer and only a translucent setting powder.
My skin is at it's worst at the moment again...
There are some of my acne marks still visible able application and setting it with powder.
But this liquid foundation does give a "nearly naked look" as long as I don't put too much of it on and set it with a powder foundation.
