FORT ORD DUNES STATE PARK

FORT ORD DUNES STATE PARK
If you've seen my COR SURF Waterproof Backpack post, I'm pretty sure you'll have read it was my first time checking out Fort Ord Dunes State Park! Jimmy & I were running out of time to find a good place to shoot for my blog, so I looked up lists of best beaches or hike spots, and this appeared to be one of the closest ones. It is located in Marina, CA and have never thought this place existed. I'm sure glad the pressure was on... so we ended up visiting somewhere new! Go on and read more to see what went on in out quick trip!

Following the leader!

Last Palm Sunday my family and I decided to hike at the beautiful Point Lobos. It consists of hiking trails, many beaches, and purely wonderful sights! It was a day of exercise, serenity, and bonding. Because of time constraint and the place is so big we only got to go a few parts of it. We are so lucky to have this so near to where we live, we can definitely visit again... Spring is upon us! It's a great time to be outdoors after the cold dreary winter!

Oh yeah, I vlogged on that day... Check it out to see more sights!

Our Frozen Yogurt Creation! MYO, Monterey, CA.
The other Saturday, my cousins and I decided to go chill at Monterey. It wasn't an expected trip because we had musical practice that morning but it ended earlier than expected. With a cruiser board, longboard, and a scooter, we headed off to our mini road trip. First we parked over at Cannery Row where we found the long trail leading to Lover's Point (30 mins away by foot). And while they skated their way to our destination, I walked/ran to catch up! HAHA. Then we returned to Cannery Row and then decided to to Fisherman's Wharf, which is also about thirty minutes away on foot opposite of Lover's Point. Monterey is known for their fish and Clam Chowder, so we went on a mini Taste Testing Spree before settling down at the park eating the best tasting Clam Chowder. We then returned to Cannery Row and ate some frozen yogurt at MYO! It basically was a pretty chill day with a lot of exercise! HAHA. Before heading home we actually checked out the cool stores... I got some very nice stockings from the Sock Shop. I'll tell you about it next time!

Here's the vlog I put together for the wonderful day!
