KPop Mondays: PSY GENTLEMAN MV DANCE COVER (Fairy Ladies feat. CY!)

So let me start off by apologizing for not blogging for the month of May (except for my April Favorites)! But yeah, I've been busy with Spring semester ending and this post should explain one of the reasons! I've already said that I was taking a video editing class that dealt with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Afteraffects. Our final project was to make put together a video that would showcase some of the things we have learned in class. The video could be made of pictures, videos which were already made, and even self-produced film... which I did! I took this opportunity to gather my friends a.k.a. the "Fairy Ladies" to make an 'official music video' for our version of Psy's Gentleman dance! To make it more interesting, I've recruited my cousin CY (Cyril) so we can make it a parody to the music video, too! So you've got some acting with our dancing!

Here are some teaser shots before I post the video here! HAHA.
 Doing ze' makeup.

Ze' Fairy Ladies (excluding me because I took the picture!).
Was originally an all black concept like the music video but I added white to it... but they stuck to the first plan in the end.

Brown smokey eyes, really thick eyeliner plus false eyelashes with any choice of bright lip color was the concept for the video.

Hard at work!
On our first filming date, I chose the beautiful Carmel-By-The-Sea of Cali!
If you look at the first picture of us on the sand dune, that's at Carmel Beach. I've filmed scenes in the actual streets of Carmel, as well.

For this photo, I decided to have another taping session on another day!
This time I've decided to keep it within our city limits (Carmel is about 20+ mins away).
The beautiful and often overlooked Natividad Creek Park was my choice! My older sister actually uses this location many times for various photoshoots for her clients and that's why I learned of this place.

Enough of the teasing!
WATCH OUR VIDEO NOW!:3
We worked really hard for this project!
While others made a video picture montage or put together chopped up videos of anime (which I probably would have done)... we dressed up, made up, and took numerous shots just for different angles! Nonetheless, I've had so much fun making this project! I mean, why not take this opportunity to do something awesome?! And as much as I like being in the spotlight, I rekindled my love for directing and filming mini movies! I hope to continue this... so watch out for more!

KPOP Mondays: PSY's GENTLEMAN DANCE COVER!

PSY's GENTLEMAN DANCE COVER!
Okay! So last Wednesday, the 17th of April, my 'Fairy Ladies' performed with me for the Performing Arts Club of our college! If you've seen my last Kpop Monday post on Psy's Gentleman... we've decided before hand to include it at the end of my dance act!

Watch for your enjoyment please!
By the way, we changed it a tad bit! :P

If you're wondering why we're called the 'Fairy Ladies' it's because we're the same girls from Puck'd: A Midsummer Night's Dream Remixed musical play I acted as 1/5 of Titania, half of Mustardseed, and as the fairy dance choreographer (and did some directing for the actual acting parts). We've all become so close as friends even after the play! And with their new found enthusiasm to dance (they had no experience in dancing prior to Puck'd) and my love for dance, we've decided to perform in the talent show. Hopefully we will do more in the future! People have been telling me constantly to create a dance club in school, since we have none! I'll think about it! HAHA.

KPOP Mondays: Mother~Father Gentleman PSY!

Psy is finally back to conquer the world with his latest single, Gentleman!
Have you heard/seen it yet???

If you can't tell already... his music video is crazzzyyy and will definitely make you laugh!

I've read somewhere that Psy and YG Entertainment had to change his comeback song at least 20 times before they selected this one! I can imagine the pressure they've had before releasing this! Psy's Gangnam Style was never meant to be a worldwide sensation but it happened! I bet they didn't want all of that to go to waste with a follow-up flop, duh! Anyways, I love love love the song! It's so catchy!

Last time in Gangnam Style, Hyuna (former Wonder Girl) of 4Minute, was the leading lady.
And now we have Ga In of Brown Eyed Girls!

Why her???
Ga In of Brown Eyed Girls. Abracadabra (2009)
Not only is she fierce and wayyyy sexy! But the dance itself came out during 2009 for B.E.G.'s Abracadabra! It was only right for them to have her on Psy's video! Besides, it's great having the awesome dance move come out again...but this time to the whole world! Yup, I've been in love with their song, dance, and look since forever! It was such a surprise they had Ga In collaborate with Psy!

From Abracadabra (2009) to Gentleman (2013)!

I just love this! I will be covering this dance very soon! Bwahaha XD
What do ya'll think about Psy comeback???
