The Oriental Legazpi
The Oriental Legazpi, Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines |
Here's another travel post that was meant to go up about half a year ago and probably one of my favorite! Prior to our short visit to the Philippines, my sister & I planned staying at one of the most popular hotels in our hometown, The Oriental Legazpi. When I was younger, it used to be another popular hotel back in the day but a fire closed it down. They re-opened and was the talk of the town! Finally, my sister and I took a chance to actually stay a night and experience what they had to offer that time around.
MANILA HOTEL
MANILA HOTEL |
Last June 2015, my younger sis and I took a looooong journey to the Philippines. We booked Asiana Airlines...and that flight gave me a terrible migraine. No, not for the quality... but for the crazy delays! We were delayed 15 hours and many times (the Korean passengers were rallying like crazy!)... that when it got to Manila, we missed our flight to Legazpi. Thankfully, I've told the crew in Incheon, S. Korea (our first stop) that we have a flight and the crazy delays might make us miss it... turns out it did. So, Asiana Airlines gave us a free night at Manila Hotel! Woot! As you see above, I'm just happy to be on the ground and having a decent bed to sleep on, I was awake 24 hours my original flight time because of procastination (hahaha :/). But I'm not really ecstatic about the quality of the photos we took... that's why it took me awhile to get this us. But you know what? Whatever! Here it is, our stay at Manila Hotel!

VEGAS 2015 Day 2
It's Travel Tuesday and I still have loads to share about my Vegas trip! I actually did a lot of traveling this year and will eventually get to all it... but for now, come with my sisters, friend and I as we go walk down the famous Las Vegas Strip. It's the street where all the big hotels are lined up.. and if you know Vegas, you'll know that they go big or go home! It's also not my first time here, but it's the first time I may have decent pictures and a pretty good vlog of! Seriously, I lugged my heavy dslr (we all did actually) and I made a video of our adventures that I'm really proud of! Make sure to watch it down below because it shows a lot of what we did, but don't forget to check out some of the pictures I took also in this post!
VEGAS 2015 DAY 1
Here's part one of our weekend at Vegas at the start of the month... We traveled from Monterey to Las Vegas and end up in our hotel, the Luxor. Excuse my chatty-ness. I'm trying a more minimalistic approach in vlogging, but I like to talk, I guess. We also go to the Safe in Sound Festival at the end of the night! Tiring, but fun! You can either watch it down below or check out my pictures ^^
BIGBANG MADE TOUR in VEGAS!
BIGBANG MADE TOUR in VEGAS! |
It's been a little over two weeks since BIGBANG's concert in Vegas... and here's my post! I actually only have a few pictures taken by my old phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) which isn't the greatest, but I'm pretty sure you're not allowed cameras inside, so I had to work with what I had. And despite not having so much pictures, I did put together of some of the highlight of the concert into a video log (see down below). But also, read on to see how this concert went down!
GOT7 at San Francisco!
Last Wednesday, May 6, the boys of GOT7 held their first of their "First US Fan Meet" up in San Francisco! Yup! Their Bay Area fans gathered at the Warfield to see these boys in the flesh. Out of all the new K-Pop boy bands, I liked this group in particular, so I obviously didn't want to pass on this chance! Although I wasn't able to take pictures, but I have a vlog to comepensate. It's the video up there consisting of our day before the concert! And if you want to know more details on how this whole event went, keep on reading!

HCDC: Panther Day Mob Dance
A little glimpse of college life with fun added in... LOL
So we are a little but past the start of the new semester at the moment here in Sunny California (it's been raining a bit lately though) and it's time for the Hartnell College Dance Club to make a comeback. I am, of course, the president and that's why I'm so fired up! Well, the only way to keep a organization going in the sleepy little college in an even more sleepier little town is to be the strong foundation. And so, to treasure these precious moments that will eventually slip through my hand, I decided to take out the camera and vlog a little bit on our college event, "Panther Day". It's basically an "org day" (as I remember in the Philippines) wherein you lure people in to your club and so fundraising, as well. We unfortunately didn't get informed sooner, so we skipped fundraising and went on to purely advertise with free candy!
Being ze' Dance Club of ze' school, we performed some of the pieces from last semester on the second day.
We made this into a mini mob dance with some of the members who were available at that time with little practice prior to it... and yes, the people around & behind us were unaware of our motives! Yep, we surprised people and it worked out because we had members push away & clear some space of our Student Center and got really big speakers to "make a scene".
It's the first performance of the year and we're currently working hard for our main project.
Watch out for more :3

Travel Tuesdays: Point Lobos State Reserve.

Gibson Beach, Point Lobos State Reserve, Carmel, CA, USA. |
Last Palm Sunday my family and I decided to hike at the beautiful Point Lobos. It consists of hiking trails, many beaches, and purely wonderful sights! It was a day of exercise, serenity, and bonding. Because of time constraint and the place is so big we only got to go a few parts of it. We are so lucky to have this so near to where we live, we can definitely visit again... Spring is upon us! It's a great time to be outdoors after the cold dreary winter!
Oh yeah, I vlogged on that day... Check it out to see more sights!

Our Frozen Yogurt Creation! MYO, Monterey, CA. |
The other Saturday, my cousins and I decided to go chill at Monterey. It wasn't an expected trip because we had musical practice that morning but it ended earlier than expected. With a cruiser board, longboard, and a scooter, we headed off to our mini road trip. First we parked over at Cannery Row where we found the long trail leading to Lover's Point (30 mins away by foot). And while they skated their way to our destination, I walked/ran to catch up! HAHA. Then we returned to Cannery Row and then decided to to Fisherman's Wharf, which is also about thirty minutes away on foot opposite of Lover's Point. Monterey is known for their fish and Clam Chowder, so we went on a mini Taste Testing Spree before settling down at the park eating the best tasting Clam Chowder. We then returned to Cannery Row and ate some frozen yogurt at MYO! It basically was a pretty chill day with a lot of exercise! HAHA. Before heading home we actually checked out the cool stores... I got some very nice stockings from the Sock Shop. I'll tell you about it next time!
Here's the vlog I put together for the wonderful day!

KPop Mondays: My Kpop M.V.P. Univeristy Tour Experience + VLOG!
Hey Guys!
Yesterday, I've attended an KPop Music Video Party over at the Infinity Dance Studio in San Jose!
Infinity Dance Studio, San Jose, CA. |
With my sister and cousins.
We arrived about 10 mins before 2pm, thinking we were late, but we were one of the very few early ones.
Aimee Lee Lucas. KPOP MVP @ the Infinity Dance Studio, San Jose, CA. |
Let me introduce to you Aimee Lee Lucas.
The Vixen of KPop.
She worked as a choreographer and performer with the likes of Big Bang and 2NE1.
Was first seen in the KPop scene in Big Bang's Number One MV and has been my dance idol ever since.
It was a pretty big class... so much more than I expected!
We stayed in front for the first half of the class in order to learn as much as possible.
The class was two hours long to learn a minute of the dance of G-Dragon's Breathe.
Aimee, not only beautiful & hella sexy, is truly such an amazing dancer and teacher!
She made it extremely fun to learn!
The class formally ended with a "soul train".
Just be clear, KPop M.V.P. is Aimee's company that teaches Kpop dance classes. Kpop is spreading far and wide...with the competition getting higher and higher in South Korea, they come up with many fun & amazing dance choreography! And I don't think there is no other person perfect for this job, bringing these KPop moves to America, than Aimee! Not only is she very immersed in the Kpop scene, know that she is extremely passionate about it!
instagram: @beekyoote |
It was definitely awesome seeing her again (I first met her, luckily at the Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour Concert in LA) and this time to actually learn from her! The class was definitely fun! There were so many awesome dancers in the class, as well... all so inspiring to make me work hard in dance. I haven't been dancing at all lately but they sure make me want to keep dancing!
By the way, did you know this two-hour class was only $15??! Crazzzy right?! Great class, loads of fun, and a price you can't beat! If KPop M.V.P. is coming to your place...whether you're a dancer or simply just a KPop lover, do not hesitate! This is definitely worth it!
Here's Aimee dancing the choreography for the class!
And in addition to everything else, I was totally starstruck all over again and probably acted like

KPop Mondays: Big Bang in LA with VLOG!
Hey Guys!
This is sooo late! But its better to be late than to never post this up! A month has past & now I bring you my experience at Big Bang's first US concert!
Stayed at Ayres Hotel! Nope! Not the one right across the street from the Honda Center because that was already booked... this one was just 5 mins away via car. Meet my sister Gabby & little cousin, Madelene.
lining up for some goodies!
while waiting in line!
The concert goodies line is crazzzzyyyy!
Spending our life saving like good V.I.P.ers! LOL.
Git myself a hoodie ($75), shirt ($40) & wristband ($15).

Big Bang Alive Galaxy Concert Tour 2012. Honda Center. November 2. |
Inside! We didn't expect to be so close to the stage! It may not seem like it is...but we had a very good view! Good enough to see Big Bang's skin! LOL.
G-Dragon singing to "Tonight", the song that came after their intro "Alive".
Unfortunately, I didn't get to take really good videos & pictures because CAMERAS WERE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE! I even got in trouble for filming with my phone! Grrrr.
Daesung was awesome. T.O.P. is so handsome... and Seungri is sooo much more good looking in real life! By the way, I'd expect Seungri was good in English but the maknae wasn't...he did work on it by making jokes about it! So cute!
Taeyang! |
Taeyang! The best in fan service for the night! You make be sick of seeing him take off his shirt on almost all the concerts they do..but a Big Bang concert isn't a Big Bang concert with him doing so! LOL. He was sooooo enthusiatic and sooo happy to perform in the US! The energy has has...where does he get it??! And his voice??? He improved a lot! We wish he would sing more on his solos though but wow! His voice is so smooth now!
If you didn't know... Teyang is my love! hehehe.
with Aimee Lee Lucas! |
As we were leaving our area when the concert ended, we found Aimee Lee Lucas!!!
She's been featured in Big Bang's music video Number 1, danced as the main girl in G-Dragon & Taeyang's concert, and worked with 2NE1 as both a choreographer & dancer!
Two weeks before the concert, her company KPOP M.V.P., was giving away a ticket to see the concert on the same day we went & a chance to meet her... Naturally, I wanted to meet my very sexy dance idol... I entered! They required a 15-sec dance from the participants of the contest. Check out my entry!
Now... I've finally showed you my "dancing skills"! LOL.
This was part of our re-shoot from our modern dance presentation for my little sister's 18th birhday party when we went to the Philippines for vacation this year.I thought it would suit the contest since we danced to a Big Bang song & had a lot of fun dancing to it! If you can't tell who I am... I'm the girl with really long hair at the RIGHT side :D
Anyways... we decided to vlog that day just to commemorate that after 6 years of being Big Bang fans (my sisters & I loved them ever since they debuted... I was almost 16 years old then! XD)! I guess now you'll know what I sound like and how weird I am...ohh well! HAHA. >.<
Excuse the weird positioning of my face... its my first try to vlog! XD
Moving on...
Here is my outfit for that memorable event!

After the concert, we were waiting for my dad to pick us up... a girl from a group approached us and asked if we were going out to party somewhere! HAHA. I guess we really dressed up because honestly not a lot people did unlike the 2NE1 concert (which I haven't blogged about yet!). That concert date was just added due to demand of people but I guess the rest of the people who actually went that day aren't die hard V.I.P.ers like us cuz' hello! The concert was the party!!! >.< Anyways, we probably looked like we were from L.A. but no we're not...so we had no idea where to party at then. My sister & cousin decided to do a mini photoshoot at the hotel lobby before hitting the sack instead! :D
They are truly wonderful in performing...sounds like the track but its definitely live.
The dancing was very nice as well... I'm also very happy to see their loyal dancers perform, as well.
Live Seungri said, "Dreams do come true!" but it will be even better when I actually meet them...hopefully in the future!
