J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL 2015

CLUB LOLLIPOP | ODOTTEMITA DANCE CONTEST | J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL 2015
Exactly a week ago, I was at J-POP SUMMIT 2015!
Yup, I performed on stage twice and enjoyed the newer & bigger event!
Read on to see what went down!

RIVER.

I know I haven't been posting up so much because I'm currently on vacation in the Philippines... my exact whereabouts at the moment? The same place you see this video! We literally filmed this video hours and just uploaded it to youtube! We are currently at The Oriental Legazpi. We specifically booked this place because of it's glorious view of the majestic Mayon Volcano, our hometown Legazpi, and what should have been the hotel's infinity pool. Unfortunately there were a bit of people using the pool and lacked space at that area, so we settled for the area in the video. You can kinda still see the pool, but thankfully Mayon was there to be the star of the show! We are checking out in a few hours, so I intend to make this post quick....so I can enjoy the rest of the day. I will post up my review about this staycation soon. The pocket wifi I purchased was terrible and I am thankful that The Oriental's wifi made it so easy to upload this!

Initially, we picked this piece to cover because it is a very nice song by AKB48 along with the choreography that makes us motivated and feel strong. Another big reason is that the center of the song, Takahashi Minami aka Takamina, who is not only an original member and the General Manager of the group... is graduating this year! As sad and heartbroken we are to see one of our favorites leave the group, this is showing our support to her. I love you, Takamina!!!!

We hope to be seen in J-Pop Summit 2015 Festival's ODOTTEMITA Dance Contest for the group division! Check out my solo entry and our recent K-Pop dance cover here! Please do like, comment and even subscribe if we entertained you! Teehee!

DEAR J

Woah! It's been way too long since I posted up a new dance video, let alone a dance video I haven't made the steps to. Yup, it has been awhile since I learned something new from someone else and I must say I felt slightly rusty. Reasons for picking this song/dance? Itano Tomomi. Her 1% Dance Trial opened up my eyes to J-POP Dance and it just so happens that opportunity for Japanese Pop Dance opened up soon after. But I became busy honing other people's talent (whether or not it existed), so I haven't made a solo dance cover or any solo dance since 2013. But as life would have it, people come and go in your life and. thankfully, with J-Pop Summit 2015 opening up the possibility of doing both solo and groups acts, it feels like a good time to do things how it started, solo.

Itano Tomomi - Dear J - Dance Cover by Bee.

I only sorta learned the choreo for two short nights before filming. But the video is just a mini dance cover of what I actually would like to perform, if chosen to appear on stage at J-Pop Summit Festival 2015.  So I do hope I get the chance to show everyone the whole thing! Crossing my fingers!

Check out my first ever J-Pop Dance Cover to Itano Tomomi's "1%" here.

J-MELO LA PARTY

J-MELO LA PARTY
The other Tuesday, October 28, I headed all the way down to LA just to attend a party!
You needed to email them to maybe score an invite to go. I know this all too well because a bunch of my friends emailed for one but not all of us got an invite in the end. So, I'm happy to say I scored a chance to attend this exclusive and rare party!

JPop Saturdays: CHUBBINESS

Chubbiness / マンマデイーヤ!

There's a Jpop idol girl group that recently made their debut and they're called CHUBBINESS.
This girl group concept involves having fat "larger" girls take the stage as dictated by their name.

Watch their MV debut here:

The First of JPOP SATURDAYS: AKB48 Team Surprise & Create a Song Project [Phase 1]

 AKB48 Team Surprise (2014)
If you haven't noticed yet, I've obviously been going crazy over Japanese pop!
I've been obessesing over Kpop too much over the years that I, sadly, overlooked other pop music fandoms. I'm glad I found AKB48, I had no idea how big and awesome they were! But better late than never, I am in looooooove!

So AKB48, is a girl group with a lot of members, divisions into groups (Group A, Group K, Group B, Group 4, & Group 8), sister groups (SKE48, NMB48, JKT48, HKT48 which depends on their prefecture), and trainees of each of the girl groups. That's a lot of girls! Plus, they're the idols you can meet! Not like the high and mighty Kpop stars, these girls are more reachable! Anyways, out of all their girls, they plucked out the best or most wanted to form "Team Surprise"!

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu @ San Francisco!

Three days ago, Superstar/Super Model/Super Kawaii Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, came to San Francisco the second time around for her 2nd world tour!

Who is Kyary? She's a Japanese fashion icon who's music is sweeping the world. Cutesy yet grim, that's Kyary! She's known for her eclectic style and makes you want to go "what did I just see?!" but her charm and visual will surely keep you locked in! I first saw her during the JPOP SUMMIT last summer, when my sister entered the Japanese cover contest and won 2nd place. Anyways, the same sister of mine was responsible for finding out about her return to SF and made sure we went, thankfully! This concert was awesome! The place was packed with cosplayers, Jpop fans, otakus, and even kids with their parents. After watching her live the second time around, I'm glad I went! She is a must-see and worth it!

Here's my mini vlog with some short clips of Kyary's performance!

Anime Expo 2013 + Convention Tips!

I know this pretty late... but I have been meaning to post this! This was my first ever convention and it just happens to be the biggest Anime convention in the U.S.A.!  Last 4th of July weekend, I've attended one of the most overwhelming yet amazing event ever! Read on to see why! ^^

My Face of the Other Day. LOL.

I tweeted this picture the other day...
I was all dolled up for my sister's photo class project!
A great excuse to practice my makeup skills, right?!

More Pictures:
I'm really loving my look! HAHA :D

Asides from using the face stuff I mentioned in my last post, I've used my NYX lippie in Eros for my lips along with my new favorite Prestige Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Smoke for lining my eyes, and favorite eyebrow pencil from Nichido.

I will get to reviewing products soon, I promise!

Thanks for dropping by!

Cover for Gazette's Cassis.

Gazette.
Hey Guys!
I'd like to share my younger sister's cover for Gazette's Cassis! If you read my second blog award post, you'd know I can't sing at all! All the talent went to her... Yeah, poor me! HAHA. But its okay! We can't have it all! Haha.

By the way, Gazette is a Japanese rock band (if you can't already tell! LOL) who are into "Visual Kei". The term literally means "Visual Style" in Japanese and is characterized by the use of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics. Yup, they look PRETTY don't they?! Gahhh! Makes me feel bad for being a girl! LOL.

Here's my little sister's video:
My older sister re-made Gazette's music video for her cover...
And I think she'll be doing a longer video with herself actually singing in it soon.
She's doing it for fun along with showing her fandom for them and practicing her talent!

I find their LOOK very intriguing...
I think I'll do my research on it more! HAHA.

Check out her other singing videos here:
