PHILIPPINE VACATION 2015

      Finally, I got all the vlogs out for our trip the Philippines last year! It's a big  deal for me because my family and I don't go home as much as we want. And it matters to me most, because after spending four years of university there, most my long time friends are there! This trip was really short and mostly last minute... so we didn't do as much as we wanted to do. Our off days contained practicing for our dance video & performance for our family party. Here's another travel post that was meant to go up about half a year ago and probably one of my favorite! Prior to our short visit to the Philippines, my sister & I planned staying at one of the most popular hotels in our hometown, The Oriental Legazpi. When I was younger, it used to be another popular hotel back in the day but a fire closed it down. They re-opened and was the talk of the town! Finally, my sister and I took a chance to actually stay a night and experience what they had to offer that time around.

     Last June 2015, my younger sis and I took a looooong journey to the Philippines. We booked Asiana Airlines...and that flight gave me a terrible migraine. No, not for the quality... but for the crazy delays! We were delayed 15 hours and many times (the Korean passengers were rallying like crazy!)... that when it got to Manila, we missed our flight to Legazpi. Thankfully, I've told the crew in Incheon, S. Korea (our first stop) that we have a flight and the crazy delays might make us miss it... turns out it did. So, Asiana Airlines gave us a free night at  Manila Hotel! Woot! As you see above, I'm just happy to be on the ground and having a decent bed to sleep on, I was awake 24 hours my original flight time because of procastination (hahaha :/). But I'm not really ecstatic about the quality of the photos we took... that's why it took me awhile to get this us. But you know what? Whatever! Here it is, our stay at Manila Hotel!

     Today's post will be the first "Travel Tuesday" that will be featuring parts of my vacation/return to my home country last June! Yup, I was in the Philippines for three weeks! And this is one of the many places I've been to, particularly in my hometown, in Legazpi! As soon as I arrived, talks with friends came about where we should reunite and, hands down, Koffee Klatch was the number one spot all my friends suggested we meet at. They kept saying it was the newest and hottest spot in to chill at in Legazpi. My friend, Jam, said they had also the best options that came in an affordable price. So here's a description of the place from their Facebook page:
Koffee Klatch café is a great place to hang out with barkada. Its easy to find without getting lost. From Legazpi downtown ride a jeepney to Washington Drive(Rawis A or Altrnate Rd.) and if you are from Daraga downtown take the Rawis B or Alternate Rd going to Washington Drive. The Cafe is located across Pares King restaurant and Mercury Drugstore and close to Aquainas Hospital. And don't forget to try our best seller Kiwi Mango coolers. Stay cool in summer Koffeirs!!!

This particular visit was to meet the sister of Gabby's (my sister) bff. This was also our first destination as soon as we landed Legazpi!

The size of the place is fair and had a lot of chairs and tables set up. It also has an outdoor area.

As for the menu, they have a lot to offer! It goes from everything coffee-based to a lot of fruity options! The best part? The prices are definitely not bad at all!

     We had the Mango Shake, Strawberry Shake, Oreo Cheesecake, Strawberry Butter Cake and the divine looking Mango Tango with that Strawberry pretzel on top! It may have taken awhile for our orders to come out, but they all were very delicious. The presentation came in tall glasses which was a plus. Extra class is a yes.

     This coffee shop provides wifi, but on that particular day the people working there didn't give us the right details...so my sis & friend moved to La Mia Tazza that day. But yes, they do provide a wifi connection which I learned in my next visit. They also have a good selection of books that you can choose from when you just really want to sit back and relax somewhere asides from your home. Their description says, this place is located right by Aquinas Hospital (where I used to go have my clinicals at during Nursing school). It is also within walking distance from Divine High School... My point is, this place gets really packed when the late after all the way to closing time! If you want to be seen, this place is popping and you might want to be there. Seriously, the evenings I find myself there, both the indoor and outdoor seating is packed. The combination of the ambiance, food & drink selection & prices, and location does makes this one of the popular places to hang out in Legazpi, as I have concluded in my short visit back home. If you didn't want to read my narrative about this place, let me break it down for you here:

All in all, go to this place if you want to catch up with friends and chill like we did!

Travel Tuesdays: Busay Falls.

Not long after our Cebu trip during my vacation last summer in the Philippines, it was time for adventures at my hometown! ...or near my hometown at least! Malilipot is one of the Municipalities of Albay and is famous for its attraction, the Busay Falls.

"For lovers of waterfalls in in more or less unspoiled nature a day trip from Legaspi to Malilipot ca be warmly recommended. From here, on the north-east foothills of Mayon, there is a path leading in the direction of the volcano to the Busay Falls. These falls descend in stages from a height of 250 meters, flowing into seven pools on the way that temp you to swim in them. If you don't want to jump straight into the first pool, then turn off onto the path on the right just before it.After about a 15-minute this will take you to the second pool."

Travel Tuesdays: Plantation Bay Resort and Spa.

So after all the crazy commotion we had due to my sister's debut during our vacation in the Philippines, it was time to travel! From Albay we went down south to Visayas and visited Ormoc & Cebu! One of the places we stayed at was Plantation Bay... this place was the cherry on top of our trip! It is PARADISE! Don't believe me? I'll show you!

Most Worn Tag (Summer 2012 Edition).

So yeah, this tag has been going around youtube...particularly here in the US because summer just ended and we're heading in to Fall season right now. This may be a late for my readers in the Philippines but hey! It's almost always summer over there right??? And besides I'll share with you what I've been using during the my whole vacation when I was there!

 Be warned! I have changed the order of the tag & added something extra, too! :D


Most Worn Nail Polish.

This is my must have nail polish all summer long! I first fell in love with the one made by Sassy Colors but they no longer offer that color... so one day when I went to the Salon to find this available and luckily I also fouit aviable in stores in the Philippines (LCC Daraga to be exact if you're in Bicol!).
Most Worn Hair Product.
Paul Mitchel Smoothing Super Skinny Serum.
 My long hair was not easy to manage and had to be tamed down with a straightening iron... every time I do that, I apply this to protect my hair from the heat and give my hair that healthy shine!
Most Worn Scent.
The Doft's Dawn Eu de Toilette.
 My favorite copy cat scent brand in the Philippines. They offer pretty good knock offs at a reasonable price. I hoarded a bunch when I was in college and still love it until now. Dawn is supposedly a scent from Escada. Very summery and sweet scent! I love this!


Most Worn Mascara.
CoverGirl's Lash Blast Fusion (Waterproof).
We got this before leaving for the Philippines. I think it does the job well enough to hold my lashes and not melt off when I sweat a little or when it rains.


Most  Worn Foundation.
MAC Studiofix Powder Plus Foundation in NC43.
Look at the huge dent I've made! I cannot go without this. Either I do bb cream and this or just concealer plus this... it is my must have forever!
I actually used my Revlon Colorstay Foundation when I was there. If you read my review post, I heavily disliked it... but in humid weather it was simply awesome!


Most Worn Eyeshadow & Blush/Bronzer.
E.L.F. Studio 27 Piece Mini Makeup Collection.
When I left for the Philippines, I only brought this bunch of eyeshadows a long with me! I'm glad I did because it has all the basics I need! Can you tell by the big dent I've made on the brown eyeshadow & the bronzer??? HAHA. I initially had my E.L.F. blush in Shy with me but that broke...so I turned to using the blush that came with this. When I did a smokey eye look, I used the darker color of this collection as well. Most Worn Lip Product.
Rimmel's Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick. No. 12.
This was a new lippie I stole from my mum when we were in the Philippines. It was meant to be given away butI stole it because of its wonderful color! I already love orange lippies...but this orangey-red color looked so enticing I grabbed it and wore it everyday since!


Most Worn Bag.
Silver clutch from Charming Charlie.
 What I turn to when I go out for the night and when I simply don't have a lot of thing to be lugging around. Turned out to be a very useful Christmas gift, indeed! Read my post on this here.

Back Home...

Mayon Volcano. The Boulevard, Puro, Legazpi City, Philippines.

So, its been more than a week since I got back to my hometown Legazpi City!

I apologize for going M.I.A. on my wonderful readers... packing, traveling, and the business I've had to attend to as soon as I arrived threw off my blogging schedule. I have loads of stuff I wish to share with you all, but I need to get the hang of taking pictures everywhere at anytime first. Gahhh! I know... I suck! Sorry! I'll try harder from now on!

Anyways, what I have been doing consistently the past days was jogging... in hopes that I get in shape for summer and my sister's upcoming debut party which was the whole point of our return to the motherland. Here are a few pictures... I hope this is be enough for now.

I love jogging early in the morning here! I get to see Mayon Volcano, the world's almost-perfect-shaped volcano, while jogging by the sea and enjoying the refreshing breeze! So much better than just seeing my usual neighborhood back in the U.S.!

I know most of my readers are here in the Philippines... I hope we all get together sometime!

Travel: Summer 2011 Teaser at Caramoan.

Late KPop Mondays: 2NE1 in Albay!

2NE1.
Just a couple of days ago... 2NE1 paid a visit to my hometown!!!

Mayon Volcano, the world's almost perfect shaped volacano.

Of all the places... my hometown!!!!
I don't mean to brag but its a place full of beaches and our place is boomin' for tourism!


Unfortunately, I wasn't around to see them... which killed me!
I was there for four years for university and when it was when I was away... they decide to come over!
It's craaaaazzzyyyyyy!!!

When they came over from Manila only a handful of people knew about their arrival.

Its kinda sad though... everyone, but Dara, was a little snobbish.
I would have totally been there screaming my butt off with them since I lived close enough to the airport!

They stayed at Misibis Bay Resort at Cagraray Island.


I'm not surprised that they picked Misibis out of all places...
It's the untouched and uncrowded Boracay in our little part of the Philippines!
Definitely a great place to get their vacation on without the crazy crowds!


Then they set out for Santo Domingo, Albay, Philippines.

The vehicle you see behind them is one of the main transportation in the Philippines.. its called a Jeepney.
It feels surreal to see them in Santo Domingo posing around like that...
makes you think.. What are you doing here?!!!! XD

After that... they proceeded to Daraga, Albay and caused a scene!
It's sooo crazy how I've been to the shops in those pictures...
Those streets they were walking on is a major road which they pretty much closed down by just being there!

I was pushing my mom to let me watch there concert in Manila last year for my birthday... and buy the most expensive ticket there was just to see them. It never happened because I went back home earlier than planned. So it is INSANE how the Albayanos got to stalk them for a couple of days for free!!!!

So, how do I feel about this??
If you read my tweets, you'd probably know
I was literally dying when I read tweets on them arriving to my hometown!

Anwyays, to make myself feel better I heard from a reliable source that they shall return to Albay and see the Butandings (Whale Sharks) later this year! I'm crossing my fingers because I might be returning to the Philippines and hopefully I might see them! I've actually seen/touched those whale sharks last year.. but I don't mind seeing them again with 2NE1!!!
