My E.L.F. Blushes
E.L.F. Essential Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow & Coy. E.L.F. Studio Blush in Candid Coral. |
Hey guys!
Sorry for
being away for awhile! My family had stuff to do so I couldn't really
blog. I'm back to Taekwondo, as well! Yeah, my evenings are now filled
with fat-blasting killer workouts... HURRAH! I've been a lazy bum way
too long... I want to become sexxayyy so I can wear a bikini already! LOL.
Anyways, here I am again... sharing what I've owned for quite awhile! And yes this, would be my blush collection! I actually had more when I was in the Philippines... I had blushes from brands like Ever Bilena & Nichido but sadly, I gave them away. And yes, I regret not having them around anymore... but I will definitely buy them when I return to the Philippines!
E.L.F. Essential Natural Radiance Blushers:
Glow
E.L.F. Essential Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow. |
Glow is a light coral shade with a very noticeable sheen somewhat golden to it. I think it is true to its name... it comes out more like a highlighter than a blush, in my opinion!
Coy

Coy, on the other hand, is a somewhat dark mauve-y pink blush. It has a slight sheen to it, as well.
"This exquisite, delicate, pigment payoff makes cheeks radiant combined with a healthy-looking glow. Infused with texturizing agents, skin feels smooth and pores are minimized."

E.L.F. Studio Blush:
Candid Coral
E.L.F. Studio Blush in Candid Coral. |
Candid Coral is definitely a coral pink with a golden sheen to it.
"The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow!"

What I like:
- Cheap. Essential line blushes costs $1 & the Studio line blushes cost only $3.
- The Essential line blushes are small and great for on-the-go.
- The Studio line blush has a lot of product in the pan, sleek packaging, & comes with a mirror.
- Doesn't accentuate the pores.
- Smooth in application.
- Average staying power.
What I don't like:
- The Candid Coral isn't as pigmented at the Essential line blushes.
- The Essential line blushes has a really cheap packaging (scratches easily & not very attractive especially over time).
- In the Philippines, the Essential line blushes costs P125 and the Studio line Blushes are about P200+.
Swatches: E.L.F. Studio Blush in Candid Coral. E.L.F. Essential Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow & Coy. |
I actually got the Essential line blushes when I bought my first Dollface Shimmery Palette. I got each blush from P50 each, check out my old blog's post on it!
Anyways, these are a pretty good deal if you buy them here in the U.S. or order them from EyesLipsFace.com... Otherwise, I recommend my Filipino readers to stick to our local brands because they have a lot to offer for a much lower price! You can find these at any SM beauty section or Watsons... And yes, my fellow Bicolanos, it is available at SM Naga!
By the way, I heard that Candid Coral was a dupe for Nars' Orgasm... I'll probably make a comparison post on it later. And I didn't include my blusher/bronzer duo from E.L.F, but you can check that out here.

How's everyone doing?
If any of you have a question, please feel free to ask! I don't bite! LOL.
Thanks for reading!

Aha! And I had a feeling that the studio blushes are not that pigmented as those from the Essentials range. I got my 3rd Elf order today (yay!!!) and among the things I got was the Studio blush in Gotta glow, aka the golden highlighter. And it was so powdery and yuk! I much prefer my cheapo Essentials blush! xx
ReplyDeleteYeah, it did say sheer finish... So I guess it was intended. Too bad it didn't work out for you... But yeah, the cheap Essential blushes are pretty good ^__^

ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! Yup, the Essential blushes are definitely good enough & affordable! Haha. Thanks... but I think its the other way around! LOL. I used to be boyish and then I suddenly liked makeup 2 years ago! Teehee!
